Opportunity has strange ways of presentation. While you may search heavily for it everywhere, it will stand there silently, waiting to be found. It will not knock your door or pat on your back to grab your attention.
It will stand there; appear in disguise waiting for you to recognize it and lift the veil from its face. It demands action from you, yet it won’t give the slightest hint of its existence. Why?
A man who seeks opportunity will eventually find one. When, how and where entirely depends on the sharpness of the seeker. Opportunities are already there. If we are not conscious, we don’t see one. Only when we start becoming conscious , we start finding one.
Recently a friend of mine critically asked me “If home business on the net can bring so much wealth and freedom to oneself how come everybody is not sitting at home and earning”.
He was trying to negate that money can be earned by online business. I tried to explain him about online earning but he was not ready to accept the reason.
“I think that is wastage of time.” He completely rejected me.
He was not conscious of the fact and he could not be subjected to reason.
Well! Then home business is not for him.
First step to find an opportunity is to believe that it exists. One must accept that it is there. Then one must become conscious of home business’ money earning potential.
When you become conscious of something you start noticing that in abundance. If you are not conscious of something you can’t see that even surrounding are full of it.
That is law of nature.
Nature has designed things in this fashion to avoid the revelation to the unprepared and thus unworthy.
The opportunity can only be used by able. One who can recognize the opportunity and acts to tap it is an able man. Other kinds either will not find the chance or let it pass without utilization.
Home business on the net has produced millionaires. Countless people started with limited resources and now earn unlimited wealth. What did they do?
They recognized an opportunity and took action. They had eyes for the opportunity and audacity for taking an action. That is what makes them stand apart in addition to the wealth they have made.
They were able.
Taking an action is second step for tapping the opportunity. Action taking is must if you want to get yields from opportunity. Otherwise the opportunity is as good as no opportunity.
Opportunity for home based business would always remain. With internet expanding at such a fast pace, potential of home business is much more than ever.
But only those seek with conviction and vision would find one.
Moreover, only those who are courageous enough to take action would find their way to enormous wealth.
People who lack conviction, courage or both will not find any wealth in the home business or for that matter anything.

Most people I know are unhappy with their jobs. The alarm clock becomes the enemy at 6:00 o’clock on a Monday morning as its shrill cry signals the end of an all too short weekend mini-break. But, spurred on by the thought of a paycheck guaranteed to be there whether the mind accompanies the body to work that day or not, they make the noble sacrifice and head out into the big, brave job world.
Statistics show that Home-based businesses are the hottest and fastest growing segment of the American economy. By the end of 2005 it is predicted that as many as 75% of the working population will be working from their homes.
Most people would love to have a work from home job - one where they can stay at home and work for someone else just like they do in the office.
Have you looked around the Internet at the "work from home jobs"? They are mainly for the highly specialized professions - programmers, medical and legal transcriptionists, graphic designers and for project specialists in fields such as technology research. I don't know about you but my expertise in these fields is almost zero and I am sure that is true for the majority of the population of planet earth.
To my mind these highly specialized jobs not only appeals to a very tiny segment of the home-job-seeking population, they also do not offer much flexibility. You don't get to pick your clients, your co-workers, or your hours on the job. In effect you become a telecommuter with a supervisor who wants to dictate your every move just to make sure you are really working. What is worse is that telecommuters are still subject to the company's employment policies and procedures and are definitely not in control of their working environment.
Most people who want a home-based business are not willing to exercise the discipline it would take to start earning the thousands of dollars the gurus and top Home Business marketers claim can be made so easily. They are content with making just enough to pay the bills and have a stress-free work environment.
The pros of a successful Home-based Business far outweigh the cons. A Home Business can be anything you want it to be – A messenger service, a hairdressing salon, affiliate marketing, an Internet franchise, a bookstore, etc. The world is your oyster, and if your business is an online one, you can create the business you really want. Just think, you could be leaping out of bed each morning excited and ready to begin work instead of prying yourself out of bed dreading the thought of returning for even one more day to a job you hate and a boss you despise.
The corporate world has become increasingly unpredictable . I have relatives and friends who have changed jobs numerous times in the last 5-7 years. You would think these are entry level earners but most of them have MA's, PHD's and advanced university degrees. Twenty years ago, one could bank on having just 2-3 jobs in their lifetime, the average is now between 8-16.
The corporate world is changing rapidly. Companies are downsizing or relocating to countries that have cheaper labor costs. This trend is set to continue. Even if you possess those rare skills I mentioned earlier, you still won't be in full control of your job situation until you have your own home business.
With your own home business you are in the driver's seat; you are the boss! You set the goals and you decide the fate of your company. You will never get laid off because the company you work for is relocating or downsizing.
The best part is, that when you own your own home business, you get to have leisure time and vacations whenever you want. You call the shots because you are in control of your destiny! And, even though you may have heard it many times before, owning your own business is, without a doubt, your surest pathway to accumulating true wealth.
Still looking for a JOB? Whether it is an office job or you are telecommuting - it is still a "JOB". Someone else is still putting a cap on what your lifetime earnings would be worth. It’s time to lift the ceiling. Start thinking seriously about setting up and growing your own home business. Have you ever wondered how a Franchise would do if run like a typical home business? This might give you some idea.
There is something that is long as I live I will never understand. Well I suppose actually there are several things, however right now this is business focused. That something is residual income. I just can’t for the life of me understand how someone can go through life and just continue to work at a job with no plan for residual income. I suppose many people just can’t comprehend that they can have money coming into them while they aren’t working.
There are a number of ways to get residual income like writing a book, or a song. However, these are tough occupations to succeed at.
One of the very best ways to have residual income is good home business in Network Marketing. Network marketing has been criticized, poked fun of, ridiculed and worse. But it’s here to stay and it’s popularity is growing. Often called the poor man’s franchise, with the right company, product and timing a person can actually do much better than a franchise without the expense and headaches that so often accompany a franchise.
Think about this, what would you say is the best most successful stable franchise today? Several come to mind but no one can argue that McDonalds wouldn’t be at or near the top of most lists. So what kind of point am I making here. Simply this, many people argue that home businesses, especially in the area of network marketing don’t work. Well gee whiz if a McDonalds was run the same way the majority of people work their home business the McDonalds would all go out of business.
Here is how the typical McDonalds would be run if run by the typical unsuccessful home businessperson.
When it’s open – I stress the word open, (more on this) it would probably be open less than 1 hour a day. The workers would be sitting around pretending to be working, but accomplishing very little. And then suddenly at a whim the store would abruptly close, perhaps to open again in a few days or even a few weeks. No schedule or hours of operation would be posted when the store was going to be open. After reopening after an absence the workers would just be getting back in the groove of working again when a half hour later the store would close because no customers were coming in. It seemed not knowing when the store would be open was keeping them away – imagine that. Well after a month or so of no customers the store is closed with the owner muttering under his breath. “These franchise things just don’t work!” Then he starts telling all his friends, “I tried one of those franchise things once. They just don’t work!”
This example is easy to see and yet we all wonder why a home business fails when conducted in this same manner. What is great about a home business versus a traditional business is you don’t have to start each day at 8:00, you have a lot of flexibility. However, you don’t have the flexibility not to work for days and weeks at a stretch and engage in poor work habits when you decide to work.
Of course not all the blame can be put on the new home business person, there are some bad programs out there and timing can be bad with others. Of course wrong expectations can mislead many people into discouragement. What do we mean here. Well look at it this way. Very few people would argue that Microsoft would be a poor stock investment today. However, there are people that hype their particular company that has passed it's growth spurt, that you can get rich and retire with their company. This is the same as a dishonest stock broker pushing Microsoft from the angle of it getting ready to explode in value as they will have double digit growth each month for the next 5 years. Hey in the early 80’s Microsoft had this type of growth, just don't expect the growth to continue forever.
The point is there are always new Microsoft’s in the Business and Home Business markets. It’s knowing how to find them that is key. They are out there, home businesses that are rock solid and will experience this type of explosive growth over the next 5 years.

The Best Advice This Week I Got From My Barber

I went to my barber a few days ago. We talked about his hobby, which is playing poker, and his nephew who is a boxer, and about my job and my kids, etc., etc.
I told him where my son, a high school senior, wants to go to college. It is a rather expensive private school in the city where we live. Jerry, my barber, said he knows several people that attend and work at this college, and that he believes it is an excellent school. And then he said something that is very true.
“If I stop learning, then I am through. I’ve been a barber for forty years and I still am learning.” He then related a story about a former customer. This fellow came into the shop one day and said “I want you to cut my hair the same way every time I come in.” The conversation continues:
Jerry: “I’ve been cutting your hair for years. Isn’t it always the same?”
Customer: “You never use the same method. I want you to cut it using the same method.”
Jerry: “Doesn’t it come out the same every time?”
Customer: “Yes, but I want it cut the same way every time.”
Jerry says to me “I know several ways to cut hair and I am always learning more. If it comes out the way he likes it, what difference does it make how I cut it.”
The need to continue learning applies to your home business as well. As the online market changes, so do your marketing and promotion techniques. There are new products and affiliate opportunities to look for.

One great source for learning about online business is to read articles, like this one. There are thousands of sites offering business related articles. In fact, doing a search on Google for “business articles” results in over twenty million entries.
For the newcomer to home based online business, Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy, has a nice series of articles (http://www.workathome-awesomeopportunities.com/homebiz.htm) including “Finding Your Home Business Niche“, “Advertising Your Home Business on a Budget“, & “Networking Your Home Business within Circles of Influence”. These are just a sampling of the information available in articles.
Or how about this: did you know that you can get a million hits a month without a top listing on a search engine? Jack Humphrey, in his article “How to get 1 Million Hits Without the Search Engines” (http://www.workathome-awesomeopportunities.com/powerlinking5.htm) tells you how.
Or another – Charlie Page, owner of The Directory of Ezines http://www.directoryofezines.com, writes about why people are leaving their internet business in record numbers, and ways you can avoid the same fate in “Why are people Leaving?” (http://tinyurl.com/5mh46).
Forums
Another source of information is online forums. These are sites where business owners get together online to exchange ideas and get answers to questions about their own online businesses. One of my favorites is the >Warrior Forum (http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/). This forum includes links to an article database, joint ventures and money making information.
There is a recent discussion on the Warrior Main Forum on whether it is advisable to put your picture on your website (http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=28449). Some commented on how a picture of an “ugly” person could result in a potential customer clicking away.
Another discussion was on what type of hardware to use in a home business. This included monitor type and size, processor, graphics card, etc. This is a very interesting topic for anyone with an internet based home business.
And since I am a Plug In Profit Affiliate a forum I recently discovered, the PIPS Builder Forum (http://pipsforum.1affiliateprofits.com/), has provided me with several valuable marketing tips and business resources.
Training Sites
If you are a member of a MLM or affiliate program there is a wealth of training material available to you.
In my own journey down the online home business trail I find that being and affiliate of several programs has given me more training than I can absorb. The learning curve is steep, but it is better than starting out from scratch.
One of the programs that I am an affiliate of is SFI Marketing Group. They have an extensive amount of training materials for the affiliates as well as a discussion board.
Another site with a wealth of materials for the online business owner is the International Association of Home Business Entrepreneurs (http://www.moreinfo247.com/8813721/iahbe). There is a small monthly fee to belong to this one, but the amount of fresh, timely content makes it worth it to me.
There are many, many more and I encourage you to check them out.
Trial And Error
And of course there is the old standby of screw it up and figure out how to fix it. I have done this on many occasions and I am sure you have too. But if you approach your errors with the right attitude it is possible to learn an immense amount from your own mistakes.
Don’t Stop Or You’re Through
As Jerry said, “If I stop learning, then I’m through”. And I believe this is true for me and you.
I have a goal to consciously learn something new everyday. I recently saw a site that will help improve a golf swing. Another for woodworking tips. Yet another for training a dog. There is probably a site to learn about any interest you may have.
Don’t take for granted the wealth of opportunities to learn something, not just about your business but about anything that interests you.

I have helped thousands of people start up their own home
based businesses using the Internet. Over time, I have come to
recognize two of the most important factors for identifying
people that should NOT start a home based business.
If a prospective entrepreneur says something like...
"I'm broke and need to make some money...fast!"
or,
"I want to start a home business, but I don't want to spend
anything on it until after I start earning some money."
...it is certain that they have not "gotten real" and should not
attempt to start a home business under either of those
conditions. I refer to them as the "death sentences" for
starting a home based business.
Almost equally important is the need to have realistic economic
expectations when undertaking a home based business. There is no
magic here, folks. A home based business provides many rewards
such as working in the comfort of your own home, avoiding a
stressful commute, being your own boss, setting your own hours,
no dress code, etc., etc., but anyone that is also expecting
"instant riches" is sadly mistaken.
There are a tremendous number of home business and work at home
opportunities offered on the Internet. Many of these are all
hype and try to convince you that you will be making huge amounts
of money in very little time (you know, stuff like..."you will be
making $5,000 per week, and more, in just a few weeks!"). You
should avoid these like the plague...if they were for real
everyone would be doing it.
Study the opportunities carefully and select the home business
opportunity that seems to fit your own particular style or
talents. What is a good choice for one person may be a very poor
fit for someone else. The common thread that applies to everyone
is that you must be "for real" (as indicated above) and the
business opportunity itself must be "for real".

license and/or permit. Check with your local government
municipalities to find out what the requirements are for
where you live. Depending on where you live, you should be
able to get this information from your local courthouse or
townhall.
Zoning may also be an issue. Municipal ordinances can be
very restrictive about what types of businesses are allowed
in a residential district. This also applies if you plan on
placing a sign outside of your home. Again, check with your
local government municipalities to find out what the
requirements are for where you live.
In addition, depending on how your home business is
structured--as a sole proprietorship, partnership or
corporation--there may be forms to file with the state. The
legal structure affects taxes and the liability of the owner
and the home business, so it's important to follow the
appropriate procedures. Contact your state's Department of
Revenue for filing fees and information.
If you plan to operate your home business under a name other
than your own, you will have to register a fictitious name
with the county--usually referred to as a DBA filing (Doing
Business As). The exceptions to this regulation are
corporations and partnerships doing business under the
umbrella of the corporate or partnership name.
As a home business owner, you may be required to file
estimated tax returns and pay estimated taxes quarterly. If
you have employees, you also have to submit taxes withheld
from employee paychecks. Here are some of the taxes you may
be responsible for:
Employment taxes -- Federal income taxes, Social Security
and Medicare, federal unemployment and state income taxes.
Federal self-employment tax--Required by those who work for
themselves to cover Social Security and Medicare
contributions.
Sales tax--Each state requires a sales tax number for any
company involved in selling tangible items. Sales tax is
collected, reported and paid to the state either monthly or
quarterly.
Unemployment insurance tax -- You are required to pay
federal and state unemployment taxes if you have more than
one employee on the books for at least 20 weeks in a
calendar year, or if they have paid more than $1,500 in
gross wages in a calendar quarter.
Again, check with your state's Department of Revenue for
more information.
A home business qualifies for all of the same tax deductions
regular businesses do. In the eyes of the IRS, the only
difference between most home businesses and Fortune 500
Companies is their size, and the fact that home businesses
can also deduct many household and living expenses.

taxes than you have to?
Listed below are just some of the items you are allowed to
deduct:
* Your car and car expenses.
* Your mileage.
* Your home computer, printer and other office equipment.

* If you're a homeowner, you may deduct a portion of your

* Your restaurant meals, entertainent, dinner parties.
* You may pay wages, tax free, to two of your children, if
they are involved with the business.

highly recommend you consult with your accountant or tax
advisor to learn more about applying the aforementioned

As 2005 dawns on earth I am quite thoughtful. Many persons started their business in 2004. Some succeeded and some left disappointed.
This New Year would bring many new home entrepreneurs to the net. How many of them would continue with what they started? How many would leave disappointed and disgruntled? How many of them would become a source of inspiration for others in waiting? How many would detest many others just because they failed.
I hear crackers bursting as people welcome New Year with full celebrations.
For those who have left, I feel sorry. They have left a road to wealth, richness and freedom from daily grind.
For those who are about to begin, I extend my welcome. 2005 is predicted to be the best year till date for home business. Equally for those who are making millions right now or just starting.
Whatever kind of business you are in, wherever you are from, home business will make you rich.
The reason many people do not start a home business is because they think they can’t do it. The reason why people leave it is because they expect instant results.
Every body knows good fruits take time to yield. It is same with your home business.
Whether you plan to sell your own products or join affiliate programmes, patience and perseverance is the name of the game. You must maintain your efforts. Give your business time to mature. Otherwise one falls into traps of frustration and frustrated man cannot think clearly.
Clarity of thought is must for success.

•A product to sell (Create your own or sell other’s). Your own product can be either digital (e-book) or physical (book). Internet sells almost everything. With some efforts you can sell your product too.
If you do not have one you can join affiliate programmes of already selling products. It is simple. you sell their product and they give you commission on every sale. They have made a sale, they are happy.You make money you are happier.
•A website for your products. This is you web store to host the product you choose to sell. If people who visit your store choose to buy, you make money. Millions of people use internet everyday. You can imagine the scope.
•Hosting. This is space on the web land where your web site will be placed. These services are available both free of cost and at a price.Price varies as per service provider and what you are looking for. But if you aim for professional results use the paid ones.
•Promoting your site. This is to let people know that you have a store which sells those products. This is the difficult part but as you gather knowledge it becomes easier too. Various marketing strategies are available in plenty. You can use as per your budget.
Just a word of caution. Don’t spend your money on hypes promising instant results. There is nothing like that even on the net.
Once you start, start with full throttle. Do not hesitate for hesitation will hold you back. Learn the essentials as you go along. Gather knowledge and use it for expansion of your business.
